Live balance and shared accounts – we’ve been busy!

While other energy companies have been busy looking at their pricing strategies at the start of this year, we’ve been working on some new features which we hope you’ll find rather handy.

Live balance

You may have noticed in Tonik Space that when you submit a new meter reading your balance automatically updates – this is our new ‘live balance’ feature. So, at any time, day or night, you know exactly where you are with your account. It aims to make the dread of looking at your bill a thing of the past and gives you an instant snapshot of your account balance.

Shared accounts 

We’re also excited to launch the ‘shared accounts’ feature within Tonik Space. This feature is designed to make it easier to manage multiple properties in one place, and to help you support families or friends who may need some help managing their account. We’ve already had great feedback from our trial customers who have been able to add meter readings on behalf of extended family. Landlords have also found it refreshingly simple to be able to see energy statements for all of their properties under a single log in.

To start using account sharing, log into your Tonik Space and select ‘Shared accounts’. Once shared the authorised user will be able to view payment history, bills and of course the live account balance. This feature can be revoked by either user at any time from the same page. Note that both users need to be customers of Tonik to enable sharing.

But it doesn’t end there. We’re currently working on a number of useful tools and exciting improvements that we’re already working on so watch this (Tonik) space!
